Los Angeles, October 11, 2011 – The International Academy of the Visual Arts (“IAVA”) announced the winners list for the 2011 W³ Awards today, naming the Bryant Zamberlan Group (“BZ”) a winner of the 2011 W³ Silver Award in the Copy/Writing Category. BZ’s award-winning entry consisted of more than 20 pages of original copy written by founder Benjamin Bryant and edited by co-founder Tommy Zamberlan.
“We are very excited to have our work recognized in this meaningful way,” noted Benjamin Bryant, President/CEO and founding partner, “as an emerging small business, BZ strives to match or exceed in quality what our larger competitors bring to the table in terms of size and market share. The drafting of original content is at the heart of nearly all the work we do, so we are particularly pleased to have our skills in this arena formally recognized by the Academy.”
The W³ Awards honor creative excellence on the Web, and recognize the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning sites, marketing programs, and video work created for the Web. Now in its 6th year, the W³ Awards was the first major web competition to be accessible to the biggest agencies, the smallest firms, and everyone in between. Small firms (such as BZ) compete alongside Fortune 500 companies and international agencies. In determining winners, nominees are scored against pre-determined judging standards set by the Academy for each category entered. To uphold these standards, a category may have no winners at all. The awards are competitive, with no more than 10% of all entries (over 3000 in 2011) selected as Gold Winners, and similarly limited numbers selected for Silver recognition. Best in Show selections represent no more than 1% of all work entered.
BZ Vice-President/COO Tommy Zamberlan noted the Web/new media-specific nature of the W³ Awards is a particularly relevant one for 2011. “BZ regularly and increasingly advises clients on Web and new media strategies, including the creation and cultivation of Web sites, microsites, and social media presence. One of the reasons so much Web content underwhelms is a lack of true understanding as to the nuances and unique requirements of effectively reaching an audience via the Web.”
Added Bryant, “BZ has long sought to optimize our clients’ effectiveness in outreach via online and new media platforms. This award confirms the direction and success of BZ’s efforts in this arena—success that directly benefits our clients and partners.”
